Our Hygienists

Jon and Kelly

Great smiles start with health care.

Our hygienists pride themselves on giving patients an honest evaluation of their oral hygiene and the state of their teeth and, along with Dr. Daughters, providing a fair and transparent set of options for work that needs to be done.

We have had patients tell us they learned more about their teeth during their cleaning than they ever knew. Our hygienists are knowledgeable and committed to you and your dental future.

Dental Hygiene is the answer!

Young or old the fundamentals of a winning smile are the same:
– Brush your teeth twice a day with an ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste.

– Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won’t do a good job of cleaning your teeth.

– Floss daily or use an interdental cleaner. Decay–causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. This helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line.

– Eat a balanced diet and limit between-meal snacks.

– Visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral exams.

Here's what Jon has to say on the subject:

“Your visit to the hygienist is not just about scraping and polishing those pearly whites! Teaching and monitoring patients regarding their oral health is of utmost importance and is the key in making your dental hygiene appointment easier and more enjoyable. There are many effective oral care products available which patients are often unaware of. What works well for one may not work for another. I try to supply and demonstrate the most effective products for each patients specific needs. By regularly monitoring the hard and soft tissues of your mouth I can recommend the best products and treatment for your specific situation. By educating you, the patient regarding the maintenance and control of your oral health, you can look forward to less time in the dental chair and an overall healthier mouth and body.”
